I ate here a few days ago with a few coworkers for lunch and it was my first time to ever eat at a Smash burger. The place was pretty darn tiny and we had to stand in line outside of the place before we could even get in. Fortunately, the mall has awnings set up for shade. There were only enough seats for about 40 people and strollers were fighting for space and running into people. It puzzles me that this is the only one in okc and in a brand new shopping center and they made it the size of a bedroom. Anyway, they were pretty quick, considering how busy they were, and got all of our orders right and we were all picky of course. The burgers were pretty good, the fries were something I have never had before. They were fried and then tossed in some kind of oil and basil or something. I was hesitant but they were actually pretty awesome. It is by far, better than steak 'n shake. The location is kind of a pain in the ass to get to if you are just going by on your lunch break because it is pretty deep inside the mall and not just at the food court. I would go again if I was going on a long lunch. I would go more if they opened one up elsewhere in the city, complete with a drive thru. It is casual, wouldn't want a date to take me there but it would be ok with a casual girlfriend.

Excellent food. Do not think of this as fast food, even though it technically is just that. Service is good, food is usually tasty and fresh. I have eaten here at least 10 times and really like the food and the variety.

I sadly will say my first experience with Smash Burger was not as I had hoped. My friends rave about how great their burgers and fries are. If you just want a burger then this is your place, however this was not my cup of tea. The Smash fries are good, but not spectacular. Perhaps, it is because I make similar baked fries at home often. Good, not great, not bad.

Heard a lot of hype on this place, it did not meet the hype, mushroom Swiss was ok, did get me super excited though, not a ton of flavor. My wife got the chicken club and she loved it. Enter at your own risk, don't buy the hype though.

Ordered the avocado club and the smashfries. If the burger had the ranch dressing it said it comes with, I could not taste it at all. I'm pretty certain they left it off. Barely any mayo, so the burger was pretty dry. Two VERY small slices of avocado, and a single piece of bacon that had been cut in half and placed on the burger. In spite of this, the flavor wasn't terrible, but would have been better if they had an adequate amount of the sauces and ingredients. I love the smashfries, but they are always a little oily, so I never finish all of them. Not a bad meal, but costs a bit more than I think it is worth since everything is a la carte.

Had a groupon and expired 3 days ago... They would not honor it. Gave them multiple chances to rectify but in vain. The manager kept saying that the button is no longer there. There have been several ice and snow storms prior to this and this is a good 20 miles from my house, so the Groupon is meant to help get business, especially if it is a 1st time. The $6.99 baja chicken burger was pretty good, but if you got the fries and shake, you will be spending $14+. The burger had avocado, was spicy and I would recommend it, if I got another groupon. If I wanted to add any additional ingredients, there is an additional charge, of course. I did order a shake and cancelled when they only took my $6 for the Groupon, instead of $12, but I guess they already started making it, so they gave it to me. I had to verify my receipts because even after all that commotion, they still charged my credit card with $7.58, instead of $1.58. They corrected it, but be aware of that before you leave the restaurant.

Hit or miss. Seems like what I get with smashburger. Sometimes great and other times I wished I would have went somewhere else. This time was a bit of each. Smashfries were good and the salted carmel shake was good but the burger left me wanting more. I have had good and bad experiences at this smashburger. I amsure I will eat here again it always seems to happen that way. Do I recommend it, well that would depend on the day.

The burgers are really good here. If you don't like your beef with pink you may want to ask them to cook it through "medium". If you don't mind it then it won't be an issue.

Food is good , but the space to dine in is ridiculous , you would think the place would be a little more accommodating

I would tap dance in public to get one of their truffle, swiss and mushroom burgers. I think I may be addicted but happily so. The smash fries are quite yummy and just the right type of crispy. They server lightly sweet raspberry tea which is quite good too. The vegetable frites are a flash fried combination of carrots and green beans also very good.

First off, this is an a-la-cart sorta place, so the $5-7 burgers are a bit pricey compared to fast food, which is honestly what I would equate this place to. Fries are very thin, "shoestring" I believe is the term. Their "Smash fries" are the same fries tossed in some sort of oil/garlic mixture which isn't half bad, but not really my cup of tea. Every time I've eaten here the fries have an abundant amount of salt, so it's unlikely you'll need to add any. I love that they have fried pickles, but tbh they run a bit on the salty side. The result for me is that I get tired of eating them after maybe a third of the helping they provide. The name "Smashburger" appears to be derived from the fact that they appear to NOT form patties and cook them, instead they form a wad of ground meat and then smash it wildly on the grill. I assume it's cooked on a large flat cooking surface based on both the manner in which the patties appear to be "formed" (via smashing) as well as the heavy amount of grease that stays trapped in the patty. Don't get me wrong: the grease does add to the flavor, I just feel a bit fat and sassy after eating their food and my hands feel like they need a proper hose-down. That being said, your patty you get is rather thin. It's probably no thinner than a McDonalds patty, but because of the vivid smash-splatter pattern it feels flimsy. The times I've ordered a "big smash" or whatever they call the "large" burger it doesn't appear to get any thicker, just more smashed meat dangling off the sides of your bun. I do NOT recommend going to this particular Smashburger (at the Outlet Mall) during lunch, or probably nearing dinner on weekends, as the seating is extremely limited. I also would NOT recommend this place if your digestive system does not handle large amounts of delicious cow-grease. The amount of salt present in the burgers, fries, fried pickles, (everything I've tried there) is pretty high. I tend to feel like I took a salt lick and chomped into the thing by the time I leave there. If it weren't for this abundance of salt, and the higher than average fast food prices (wife and I drop $15-20 easily when we go for just 2 people) I would have given this a 4 star. The 5th star could be earned if the patties were a little thicker, even if just enough to not have chunks of ground beef hanging off the bun.

I travel frequently and rely on reviews from web sites such as Yelp and Urbanspoon when I dine-out. Today, thanks to Smashburger, I have elected to participate and write my first website restaurant review ever. I can only hope I do not shit my pants from food poisoning before I finishing my review. If i could give zero stars, I would. For starters Smahburger is incredibly small, was very crowded, and there was no seating available. Unfortunately one only discovers there are no seats after the order is placed and paid for at the front-counter where the under trained cashier promises an 8 minute ticket. Seeing a restaurant completely packed to capacity and no seating with an 8 minute order bouncing around your head is stressful at best. Two grilled chicken sandwiches, one cheeseburger, a kids chicken strip meal, one shake, three fries, and three drinks were only $47.00 to boot. After 10 minutes or so ( see 8 minute ticket promise) a table finally cleared of people, but sadly did not clear of the previous diners food, sauce smears, crumbs and garbage until we sat there awkwardly for 10 minutes ( see 8 minute ticket promise). We had to flag down an employee to clear the trash and half eaten food from our table. Finally a young man with dirty shoes that were covered in even more dirty half eaten or spilled food including fries smashed into the soles of his sneakers put his feet on the booth seats and cleared away the debris. Our food arrived 25 minutes into the adventure (see 8 minute ticket promise) and after seeing my burger, I would have gladly accepted an additional 5-10 minutes on the grill. First, there was no cheese on my cheeseburger. The waitress sent it back and it returned to the table in less than one minute with a slice of cold American Cheese on top. Although I would have preferred it melted, I grudgingly began to eat nonetheless. A few bites into my Smashburger topped with cold American cheese I discovered that the cheese was not the only cold item on my plate. The burger was blood raw and red. It was cold in the center and absolutely disgusting. I sat in silence for a few minutes while my son peeled one inch thick breading from his chicken tenders. About this time Dirty shoes managed to fins our table again and asked us how our food tasted. I informed him of my dilemma. He did offer to send it back but I believe he really meant re-heat my existing burger not re-fire a new one. I wouldn't know as I did not accept his offer for fear the juvenile 19 year old cooks yelling in the kitchen would use my bun as a Kleenex on the re-fire. Dirty shoes also suggested that the raw burger was really more my problem than Smashburger's when he informed me that they use quality ingredients and most people prefer their burgers rare. He said in the future I should order them well-done. First of all, i don't appreciate his assumption that I would ever step back into the place. Secondly, its a terrible chain that somehow is supposed to make us behind the times Okies feel like we are getting some fancy Australian Wagu beef burger and a taste of how real people in the rest of the world enjoy burgers. It is what it is, a chain. Not a transcendental food experience. Never again.

I kept hearing about smash burger on the radio and really want to try . We originally went shopping at the outlet mall and there it was ! They have inside and outside seats . I ordered original smash burger and sweet potato fries . The fries were just right a little crunch not soggy like some sweet potato fries can be. I absolutely love the burger! Fresh , juicy, real beef taste it definitely made me crave another. The only thing that was very odd was that a guy came out shouting what they were out of ! I will definitely go back for another burger.

Had bacon cheeseburger add fried egg. It was good, not greasy like tucker burger. Garlic fries were tasty, and Shake was delicious. Service on a weekday at 2 pm was fast and friendly. I recommend!

We stopped in for a burger based on several recommendations. We were very pleased with it. The service - while the cashier had a huge hickey on her neck- was very friendly. I ordered the Swiss Mushroom Burger and my sister ordered some spicey pepper burger, and a regular fry to share. We both really liked our burgers, the fries were adequate average fries. The burgers was seasoned and cooked near perfectly. They were juicy and flavorful and hearty. You have a choice of regular - and bigger than regular. I couldn't even finish the regular size. It was great. 2 burgers, 1 french fry, 1 fountain soda, 1 bottle of water - $20.

Had the BBQ cheddar bacon burger. Subbed chipotle over the BBQ. Remember your add-ons or else it's just bacon cheese and haystack onions. Burger was fresh, egg bun is spot on and shoe string fries "smashfries" are seasoned well, a bit oily. Good milkshakes too if you want to overindulge.

Jason, the district manager, was extremely rude and unprofessional. Worst experience ever. Never returning. Awful. That being said the food was fantastic so its really sad that their customer service was so poor. You would think to expect it from employees if anyone. I was embarrassed by his behavior towards my mother and the other customers. AWFUL.

Just went to Smashburger for the first time with the Wife and I was impressed. Its a burger joint that also has chicken sandwiches and some salad options. They serve beer and wine (limited selection). We both got burgers I made my own the Wife loved the BBQ Bacon burger. I LOVE burgers and if Smashburger keeps up this quality and service I will keep coming back. If I was ranking a FF burger shop (large chain) on the burgers I would go: #1 In-an-Out, #2 Smashburger, #3 Five Guys, #4 Red Robin We had a good experience.
